Li Ellen was born to a simple farming family in Ireland, during Europe’s dark time. Her family was good to her, and her mother taught her the ways of a good wench and of the old religion.

As she grew, there came to be a disturbance in her clan. There was talk that a new god had come to the island. It was during this time that a tragedy befell Li Ellen. Her mother had died in childbirth. With the new religion changing her clan, Li Ellen felt very alone, even in her own home.

The years went by and as Li Ellen grew into a women the ways of old were no longer tolerated in her clan. Soon she was forced to leave, as threats on her life increased.

So she left her family and went into the countryside to fend for herself. Her mother had taught her well and Li Ellen was able to gather food from the county side. But soon she discovered that it was very easy to steal from the surrounding villages. So she traveled throughout the land stealing and gathering all that she needed.

One night she came across a camp that was different from others she had seen. There were all manner of people gathered together. Although they appeared to be very close, the men seemed to enjoy fighting amongst themselves. Li Ellen watched quietly as they ate and got more drunk. When the were all very drunk she went over to the dining table and helped herself to the leftovers. Then, as if from nowhere, a hand grabbed her arm and spun her around. Afraid for her life she tried to run and she could not get away. A strong voice laced in steel came from the man, “All you had to do was ask, we will share our food and drink. Come join us.”

He took her to the fire where the others where gathered. In the center a sinister looking man sat with long black hair. He was the first to speak, “Well, Korval, it looks like you caught yourself a little pretty. Are you going to keep her?” As the man spoke, Korval pushed Li Ellen into a seat and said, “Yes, I think I will keep this sly little cat.” He handed her a drink, and she began to get to know the strange people that would become her family: Clan Nightwolf.
